Wednesday Night Service

An evening of teaching and learning

We have midweek activities here at ALWCW to help us stay connected. We offer two different options: Family Night and Seminar Night which all meet on Wednesdays at 7:00 pm. Family Night is held on the second, fourth, and fifth Wednesdays of each month. There are activities planned for our children, youth and adults.

For the little ones, we have childcare available. For the kids first through sixth grade we offer “Wednesday Week-night Workshops” or “WWW”. They are specially geared towards their age group to teach them how to apply biblical principles at their level. Some of the workshops we have had include, drama, scrapbooking, sound/recording, aerobics, lego construction, voice, sewing, football, tie-dye and many others. Children’s Wednesday night services are broken down into organized free-play, praise and worship, workshops with an important biblical word and a quiet activity or video to wind down.

Vapor Youth Group also has a special program during these Family nights. The youth is broken up into four subgroups: 7th and 8th graders, High School, College and Career age. Within these groups we include pertinent discussions, games, fellowship and a time where youth can ask questions on controversial topics and issues. This is a time for the youth to get to know one another and their leaders while learning valuable lessons that affect their everyday lives based on principles we find in the Bible.
 
The adult service begins with a time of praise and worship. We believe that in order to make disciples, we must first become disciples, so we then offer a time of teaching to help us grow and become better witnesses to impact our world. Lastly, we take time at the altar for prayer and personal ministry.

Also, throughout the year we set aside several Wednesdays to hold a Seminar Night. We gather corporately for a time of praise and worship and then break out into the different seminars. Usually, we hold three to four seminars with topics geared towards married couples, singles, men, women, youth, etc. At the conclusion of the seminars we gather in the fellowship hall to share some refreshments and build our relationships.
