Marc Siegel

Pastoral Staff - Abundant Life Worship Center

Elder Marc Siegel is part of the pastoral staff of ALWC and has been serving in the ministry underneath Pastor Joe since December 1990. As a spiritual son, he endeavors to faithfully serve his spiritual father (Philippians 2:22).

A former drug addict and heroin user his life is a testimony of the saving, healing, and delivering power of Jesus Christ. Marc’s life of drugs and alcohol started at age 13 around the time of his Bar Mitzvah. After high school, Marc traveled for four years throughout the United States, Central America and South America. He graduated from smoking marijuana to shooting heroin and cocaine by the time he was 19 years old. He was trying to fill the void in his life, through drugs, adventure and reckless living. It was during these “wild” years that a spiritual hunger awakened in him.

Being from a Jewish upbringing, a two year journey through the Old Testament and his Jewish tradition brought him to faith in Messiah. This conversion happened while he was going to college with plans on becoming a chiropractor. In July 1981 at the age of 22, Marc received Yeshua HaMaschich as his Lord and Savior. He was instantly delivered from all use and desire for drugs, alcohol, tobacco and an illicit lifestyle. Marc also knew immediately that he was not going to be a chiropractor, but that God had called him into full-time ministry. He joined the Intervarsity Christian Fellowship at the college where he met Elaine. They were friends for four years before they began dating. They married in 1986 and have two girls: Stephanie and Nikki.

Brother Marc lives out his favorite scripture, “I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.” (Galatians 2:20)

Since the birth of ALWC of Whippany, Elder Marc has been assisting Pastor Joe to fulfill the vision God has given him to evangelize the world and edify the saints. Along with his pastoral duties, he helps oversee the Ministry of Helps, Sunday School program, Men of Valor Ministry, King’s Kids Preschool and Daycare Center, and anything else his spiritual father would ask of him. He has traveled to India, Ghana, and the Ukraine to help hold pastor’s conferences, to teach in a Bible School, and to edify the local church.

Together with his wife Elaine and his two daughters Stephanie and Nikki, they live to fulfill 1 Corinthians 16:15 “… they have devoted themselves to the ministry of the saints.
