Youth Ministry
To be a teenager or young adult today is harder than
ever. We are faced with a world full of compromise, a lack of conviction,
and pressure from every direction. We battle against drugs, alcohol,
premarital sex, rage, suicidal thoughts - the list goes on and on. Sometimes
it just feels like you are all alone.
The world is changing quickly and not for the better, but Isaiah 40:8 says,
“the grass withers, and the flower fades, but the word of our God stands
forever.” What Isaiah was saying is that the world may change, people
may change, times may change, but God’s holy word will never change!
We need a generation to grasp this truth and help turn this lost world back
to Jesus Christ. We believe that life is like a vapor, here one second,
maybe gone the next, so we are determined to make every second count!
Our Vapor Youth Group meets every month with live praise and worship as well
as challenging, inspiring and practical teaching of the Word of God. We
gather young people together every month from across New Jersey to be
changed in order to bring change to our generation.
The purpose of Vapor is to empower young people as world-changing disciples
of Jesus Christ, to nurture faith development, and to equip young leaders
by:
• developing youth/young adult Christian leaders to transform
lives by making disciples of Jesus
Christ and building powerful friendships because
together we are strong!
• cultivating and the next generation with the love of Christ
• speaking the truth in love because Truth brings freedom
• empowering the youth to use the gifts/talents God has given
us to impact and change our World
• accelerating God’s purpose in the next generation
